Southern Christmas Show!

Attending The Southern Christmas Show is the best way to kick off the Holiday Season.

To me, this means it is Christmas time.

This will give you an idea of what it is like. It is thousands of Vendors that set up and sell their unique gifts. I personally bought nine gifts here this year.

The downfall is the crowd. It is always so busy.

While my family was here for the show we had a yummy dinner at Firebirds. (one of our faves)

Look at all the desserts on the table. This is pretty much the main reason we go there.

What to Wear Wednesday!

All this talk about Thanksgiving, where did you go, what did you do, what did you  eat.......................
Let's get to the fun part!
What did you wear?
Did you dress in browns and creams or fall colors on Thanksgiving?

I have this strange rule that I cannot wear black on Thanksgiving Day, I feel like I need to be in Fall colors like an orange, brown, purple, camel or a mixture of them all.
This year I was leaning towards something similar to this

Or this?
I finally settled on this-light weight for all the hustling in the kitchen with four other women.
I did not care for this mustard color when it first came out but I am pretty much in love with it now.

Asheville with The Girls

This is probably my MOST fave day of the entire year, my aunts, myself and cousin Ashley set out to Asheville for some fun, food, and of course shopping.
It is such a great day because the excitement of the Holidays is upon us.
This year we made a detour in Brevard, what a great idea because it was the sweetest little town.

We stopped in for lunch at the cutest little diner

After some serious shopping we headed on to Asheville.

I made some serious dents in my Christmas list here. I racked up five or six gifts just in Brevard.

Brevard is known for "White Squirrels" so we were thrilled when we pulled up on a few playing in the lawn.

We arrived at Grove Park Inn just in time for the Christmas Tree Lighting.

Cousins

My fave tree this year at Grove Park was the
Sushi Tree

Grove Park Inn is known for the Gingerbread House competition that they host annually.

This one above happens to be my very favorite, the detail that was used was incredible.

We had a delicious dinner at The Blue Ridge room before calling it a day!

Happy Birthday Hubs!

Keith is almost half way to Forty!
Can you believe it? I think he gets more handsome and sweet with every year.

Keith wanted to hang out in the hood and have a laid back low key Birthday dinner so we had
Brad and Dee and Bryan and Shannan over for Lasagna.

The Birthday Boy's Place !
Saturday we ran errands and began The Holiday Decor!
Yes, we put our decor up before Thanksgiving. We travel for Turkey Day so we like to come home to The Holidays!
Saturday night we went on a dinner date to celebrate Keith's Big Day alone and came home and decorated the tree.

Don't laugh, Keith snapped this photo of me triming the tree!
The best part of the evening was discovering this
The entire container is gone already!

Thanksgiving Day!

If you remember I mentioned what a FULL weekend we were facing for Thanksgiving, well it was exactly that. Slam full, with hardly a moment to rest but Thanksgiving Day itself was relatively calm.

We arrived in our Hometown of Greenville about
10:00am Thursday morning with tons of groceries and goodies to finish preparing for Dinner.

The gals in the kitchen

Even the younger gals were busy working on their pilgrim hats.

We had such great relaxing day, so relaxing that I had a major photo fail and hardly took any pics.

I hate when that happens.

Tablescaping is hard when you are traveling but I managed to pull off a few things

Mini Cherry Pies (they are really just cupcakes)

Someone needed a little nap!

Sweet Uncle Keith enjoying some quality time with Beck and Uncle Buddy!

What a great Day! Wish so bad I had more pics but we are most Thankful to have such a wonderful large family!
