Windy Weekend Continued

We slept in and enjoyed our lovely hotel room a little on Saturday.

We got our day started by Taking Blogger
New Mom in The City's advice and cabbing out to Wicker Park.

This trip was worth it to be in the local area and eat the best Greek Gyro's ever.

We ate at Covo. It is a local Greek Made to Order Gyro.

These were the most amazing Greek Fries!

They carve this meat right off the Rotisserie

We headed from there out to The Lincoln Park area and went to the Zoo.

We hopped on the train and headed down to China Town for a snack and a cocktail.

Miller's Pub on Wabash was our very favorite.

You can have a drink and a snack by the window while enjoying the dark rich pub atmosphere.

Then we headed over to La Cucina for dinner. Yes, we love Italian but I mixed it up and opted for Chicken Picatta rather than Veal Picatta.

Cheers to another fabulous evening in Chi-Town!

Windy Weekend in Chi-Town Day One!

I know it is cliche but this is exactly what our trip was....

WINDY and COLD

but it was a blast.

Keith had a Town Car pick me up at the Airport while he was busy at work.

We stayed at The Palmer House Hilton in The Loop and it was fabulous!

This would be a lovely place for a wedding. I want to go back at Christmas just to see this hotel decorated.

We hit the ground running and set out for a stroll right after checking in and did not return until time to get ready for dinner.

We hit Navy Pier

We came across these guys fishing on the ice. Yes, they are standing on the ice.

We visited the Top of The John Hancock Building-
Keith did not care for that and will kill me for saying that out loud on here.

We strolled down Magnificent Mile and took in some shopping before stopping in at Gino's for some Deep Dish Pizza.

I love the trains here how they go right through the city like this.

Resting our feet after a loooong 9.6 miles, we mapped our walk.

We headed out for dinner at The Italian Village. This was the most amazing meal ever, besides Keith's Veal Picatta.

This is said to be one of the oldest Italian Restaurants in Chicago and I will say the BEST!

We ended our first evening enjoying the Lovely Hotel Lobby and Bar area.

This was a happening place!

Scenes from St Patty's Parade

We celebrated pretty low key this year just hanging out in the Neighborhood and finally going to the Local St Patty's Day Parade.

The Weather  could not have been more perfect.

The prettiest Girl in Green-Miss Shelby!

We just got a Bike and Brew car in Charlotte and decided we have GOT to get the hood together and go do this.
