We slept in and enjoyed our lovely hotel room a little on Saturday.
We got our day started by Taking Blogger
New Mom in The City's advice and cabbing out to Wicker Park.
This trip was worth it to be in the local area and eat the best Greek Gyro's ever.
We ate at Covo. It is a local Greek Made to Order Gyro.
These were the most amazing Greek Fries!
They carve this meat right off the Rotisserie
We headed from there out to The Lincoln Park area and went to the Zoo.
We hopped on the train and headed down to China Town for a snack and a cocktail.
Miller's Pub on Wabash was our very favorite.
You can have a drink and a snack by the window while enjoying the dark rich pub atmosphere.
Then we headed over to La Cucina for dinner. Yes, we love Italian but I mixed it up and opted for Chicken Picatta rather than Veal Picatta.
Cheers to another fabulous evening in Chi-Town!
What a fun trip! That gyro looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend lives in Lincoln Park! Plan to visit her in May!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout out!! That gyro looks so good. I need to try that place! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous of this trip - I was recently in the 'burbs of Chicago for work but didn't get a chance to go into the city. I'd love to visit sometime with Ian and eat some of those GREEK FRIES, oh my gracious they look good!
ReplyDeleteYour trip looks so wonderful. I am slightly jealous. I could use a fun vacation like this.
