Dinner in The Cellar

I recently told you about my first visit to Bonterra here in Charlotte.

Well, it was SO good and I was SO impressed with the Private Wine Cellar that I booked it asap for my upcoming Team Kick Off Meeting I had coming up.

It is right in the neighborhood of the new community and what better place to have a private team meeting?

It was a fabulous meal and evening.

I had the Filet served with Grits. Who would have thought that would be a great combo but it was amazing.

Oh and of course, a Creme Brulee!

After all we were celebrating a special occasion!



Doors Need Jewelry Too!

All doors need a little jewelry so they look complete right?

I am so excited about my new wreath!

Erin over at Crafty and You Know It made this for me and she will show you how to make one for yourself on her blog or you could be lazy like me and let her do the work and buy it from her.  

This makes a great year round wreath, however I do love to change my wreath out for each holiday.

Lu's Chambray Look for Less!

 

Who does not love J. Crew?

 

I am right there with ya ladies, I love it. In fact is my fave but that stuff does not come cheap.

 

I knew I wanted the chambray look with white shorts for this spring/summer and fell in love with this One

 

 

But I was skeptical to drop $80 bucks on something so trendy.

 

 

 So, I continued on my hunt and to my suprise

this shirt greeted me at the door of The Limited

 

 

 

It is nearly the exact same thing, and at 40% off PLUS a coupon I was able to get the dark one

The good news all three were LESS than the one at J.Crew so I was pretty happy shopper!

Family Weekend

 

 

Keith's brother and his family came to visit a few weekends ago.

We had a great time lunching, shopping and playing with our newest nephew, Beck.

 

 

Toffee was not very impressed with him, in fact Toffee would not make eye contact.

 

Uncle Keith and Beck were having some guy talk!

 

We had lunch at the Famous Cabo Fish Taco, a local fave over in Noda.

 

 

What a great weekend!

 



Super Bowl Sunday

I was so excited when fellow blogger Kate over at

 Set This Circus Down invited us over to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday!

Kate and I had already met a few times prior and it was so nice to get to hang out in a smaller group and actually get to talk more as well as meet new people.

Kate was such a great Hostess, she even ordered special Super Bowl Napkins.

I made these Foot Ball Shaped Brownies.

They were Yummy straight out of the box.

(no time to play Martha Stewart this year)

I ate two, yikes!

I stole this from Kate but it was such a great group picture that I couldn't resist!

Thanks again for having us Kate, it was great!

Welcome Back Robin!

Are you a Today's Show, Good Morning America, or an Early Show fan?

Or maybe you don't watch any morning show?

This is pretty much the only way I get my news, and that is because they give it in a positive light note. Maybe I don't like the truth and negativity that often comes along with the news, oh well.

No matter what you watch, certainly you know Robin Roberts!!!

 After a long battle with illness she is returning today to  Good Morning America.

I will certainly be one of the millions tuned into Welcome her back!

I missed you Robin!



BabySitting Adventures

 

Keith and I had our first New Born Babysitting Adventure for our neighbors and friends Brad and Dee over at Dee's Adventures.

 

We arrived at about 7pm and were ready for our short lesson in feeding before Shelby's  mom and dad headed out.

 

 

Then we had play time and made funny faces at her to see her reaction.

 

 

 

 

She obviously loved Mr Keith's funny face

 

 

 

 

So much that she fell asleep right there sitting straight up, how cute is this?

 

 

 

We put her to bed and stared at the monitor the remainder of the night!

 

We had so much fun and can't wait to Baby Sit Miss Shelby again!

 

 

 

 

 

Visionnaire By Lancome

 

 

Just a short n' sweet post to tell you if you have not tried Visionnaire by Lancome you are missing out!

 

 

 

I have passed the big 3-0 recently I realized how important taking care of my skin is. I knew it before but boy has it hit me now.

 

I was given a few samples of this the last time I was in Macy's and I could not be happier with the results.

 

My skin looks healthier, most importantly my pores smaller, and I look dewey without looking oily.

 

It is a little pricey at $67-$120 a bottle.

 

Speaking of pores, have any of you ladies tried the Clarisonic?

 

I hear it is good but that is only from the sales person at the Store trying to get me to fork over $120 for it.

Lately I have had harder time trying to find something to wear to bed than to wear to work.

 

I am dreaming of snoozing in a few of these lovely bed time outfits.

Dinner at Del Frisco's

Restaurant Week could not have come at a more perfect time while I am attempting to try new restaurants.

This time we decided to hit Del Frisco's with some friends.

Restaurant week is a great time to get out and check out new restaurants because you can try a little pricier restaurant and not be out a lot if you don't love it. The down side is that it is always crowded and the service nor food are always as good.

However, Del Frisco's did not disappoint. The food and service were both fabulous.

I had the Filet with a Wild Mushroom and Port Wine Sauce. I am ready to go back already, it was that good.
